Yay!! I got accepted to be a intern-type-ish-thing at Star Shaped Press!!!  Now I will be able to have reference letters when I want to get a job, and I will learn how to operate a printing press! I am excited~~ I am starting next week~ Also, I might put more pink in my hair with the pink dye I have at home. Probably not though. -_-

Oh em gwa... I am so tired..But, I am also in a good mood for cleaning so I am cleaning my room! And since I am in the proper room I am actually throwing things away that I would normally be like, "Oh...But I have had this book since I was little.... I mean sure I haven't opened it in three years but still...." I just chuck it in the trash. Which I have to remember to take the trash out of my room and actually dispose of. SO THAT PEOPLE DON'T GO DIGGING THROUGH MY TRASH WHEN I'M NOT THERE. Urgh, I throw things away for a REASON! Anyway. The only thing I have trouble throwing away are clothes. I mean, I give most of my old clothes to the thrift store, but I have this pair of jeans that have these big holes, so that you can't really wear them.. but I don't want to throw them away because..it seems weird. It's not scraps, it's an entire pair of pants. That might just be me being freaky though. Same goes for my Frenchy jacket. I am never going to wear that again and I don't think anyone else would either, but I can't throw it away..... I am such a packrat.. ¬_¬" I want to make my room more... I don't know, but more like a parlor...? Just more of a room. Because right now the only space I really use is my bed or underneath it. I just use the other half for stuff. I don't hang out there. I think maybe if I got rid of the junk-collecting table and got a comfy chair or something...  OH! I may have mentioned this at some point, but while I was getting my hair dyed pink for the first time, the lady who was cutting it had brought in this CD and was playing it and I really, really liked it. It was like this french bubblegum techno. And I didn't know who it was and I was too shy to ask. But then someone else asked and they lady answered and I thought she said "Yummy" so when I went home I looked it up but I couldn't find anything and it has been slightly haunting me ever since, so yesterday I was listening to Sound Opinions and they played this french bubble-gum artist called Yelle and the music totally sounded familiar and then I was like, "OHMYGAWD. It's that band!" Except it's not a band. It's a solo artist. But same difference. Well, not really. Gah, I'm shutting up now!^__^

Color our lives!

I had one of those dreams last night where you keep waking up but, then you fall asleep and it's the same dream. It was really weird... There were like these rainbow people but there towns were grey and they kept saying "Color our lives!" to me. I think it was because of De Blob which is a cool game..but..the dream wasn't very pleasant. It kinda felt like I was hallucinating. Which I guess I sorta was, seeing as I was dreaming and all. Un-related but, I saw the music video for LDN earlier and actually, I had seen this other one where she was riding her bike but, I guess this is the actual one.

 Teehee, she's so cute.

Ahem.

eragon_poster.pngDo you ever see something that is just really bad - Like, a movie, politician, writer, anything- and then it kinda inspires you to not be bad? And you want to be better then that? That happens to me ALL THE TIME.  (If you like the Eragon books.. Just... don't read this, as I know you will be offended.) Currently, it is with The Inheritance series. Otherwise known as Eragon etc. Yes, I know! It is complete taboo to say such a thing!. It is sooo popular, and you know, Christopher Paolini was only like 15 when he wrote it! YES! The same age as when he GRADUATED OUT OF HIGH SCHOOL! I mean, he is so inspiring, showing us all how plagiarism is THE way to write a book. Here is a take on the series which I found very funny.

  •  Inheritance Sandwich

    by Shinobaka

I got home late from work last night, and even though my stomach was growling, I really didn’t want to cook.

So I made myself a sandwich.

I started off with a couple slices of Tolkien brand bread. They were a bit stale, but I didn’t feel like opening a new package. Bread wouldn’t be enough to satisfy my hunger, I was sure, so I opened up the refrigerator. I was in luck, and there was still some of the Star Wars style roast beef I’d had for dinner four nights ago. I cut off a couple of thick chunks, and slapped ‘em on the bread, making sure to sprinkle on just a little originality salt. Not too much, though, as I didn’t want to ruin it, but I used a healthy helping of cliché pepper to add spice.

Still not satisfied with my creation, I poked my head in the fridge again, and came out with an open package of Pern cheese, from which I added a couple of crumbling slices. As I put the cheese back, I remembered the lettuce. I had two kinds—Earthsea and Belgariad—and wasn’t sure which to use, so I threw on a few wilting leaves of each.

Adding in a few more little things from the fridge, I declared my sandwich complete and bit into it. I ate the whole thing because I was hungry, but it was awfully bland. When I finished it, I was still hungry, so I made another. This time I used more salt, but somehow it all seemed to collect in a few specific spots, which I had to spit out, and in the end it was even blander than the first.

After that, I wasn’t hungry anymore, but now I was frustrated. The things I used had been delicious when I had first opened their packages and eaten them. Surely with such wonderful ingredients I could make a delicious sandwich! After all, I had already made two edible sandwiches: that made me a culinary genius.

I set to work on my third sandwich. (Original link)

Speech-thingys!
Posted on March 19th, 2009 at 8:58 pm by chicagolo

This is a list of speech-things. I don't remember the word!!! You know like, when people say desu or whatever? After all their sentences? Ah well, you know what I am talking about right? (read in intelligent voice from here on out.) These speech-thingy's can instantly make any sentence sound cuter. Think " I really like this picture." sounds to plain? Add any of the following words and TADAA! Doesn't " I really like this picture, *insert cute word*!" sound better? I think so!

  • “I am going to make the house as sparkly and shiny as Tadase-kun, desu~”
  • Desu - This is the one that started it all! Probably. I think it is at least safe to say the most well-known. I would like to say it was Suisei Seki who started this, but I am not sure, I do know that she made "desu" popular. "Desu" is often used with the polite, girly, shy types. "Desu" is basically like "It is" and such, and thus, is simply for the cuteness of the word. If you were to actually use "desu as it is supposed to be used in a conversation, you would not stress the "uu~" part. But as that is the cutest part of desu, characters who say "desu" DO pronounce the "uu~" A few characters who often say "desu" are : Suisei Seki from Rozen Maiden, Suu from Shugo Chara, Miyako Gotokuji (Rolling Bubbles) from Demashita! Powerpuff girls Z.
  •
  • Dechu - A variation of "desu", it is a cuter, more babyish form of "desu". Some characters who say "dechu" are:  Pepe from Shugo Chara and Blanca from Sugar Sugar Rune. (Blanca says this because she is a mouse and "chu" is equal to "squeak" in japanese. So it's sort of a pun. This does not stop her from being really annoying. ((like most characters on that show.)) )
  •
  • Nya - Nya is a rather smart-alecky speech-thing.  Nya is basically "Meow" so it is often used by cats. (Or cat-boys, <3) Some characters who use "Nya" are: Yoru from Shugo Chara and Saffy. (Who isn't an anime character, but says it enough for her to be mentioned. ^__^ かわいい)
  •  “Have a strawberry, nano!”
  • Nano - Nano is only used - to my knowledge- by Hina Ichigo. "Nano" is like "because" which fits with Hina's demanding child character. Not to be confused with "nani" which means "what". I don't think I need to say which characters say "nano" because I have already mentioned the only on I am aware of.
  •
  • Kashira-  Kashira is also only used by one character to my limited knowings of anime, and this is Kanaria, also from Rozen Maiden. It means "Maybe" which kinda mirrors Hina's self-assured "Because" as much as Kanaria irks me, this is a cute thing and adds a slightly space-cadet/spazz air to your words.
  •
  • Boo (Also spelled buu) - I know that this is used rather frequently in some animes but the only one I have seen it in is Sweet Valerian, used by Panda-buu.
  •
  • And this is the end of all the speech-thingy's I can remember! If you can think of any that I have forgotten, comment and yell at me. Err. Inform me.  I hope that this encourages you to use speech-thingy's in everyday conversation!

Mir June, is the Pullip for June, I saw her available for pre-order on The Valley Of Dolls, and thought she was meg-chilly, desu~ So I decided to put some pictures of her on my blogo, desu~  I really like her lipstick, desu... I think it would look cool on a Blythe, desu (Maybe in a pink for Floretta, desu~)

Jabbering on about nothing important~

I kind of want to change the theme of my blog.. I really like this one a lot, because it is so utterly pink and awesome, but the font is so small... and it rejects any other typeface I try to put in and changes it to it's lil' pink words.  But, again, I really like how this one looks. Also, it is the only one I have found so far that lets me put up any size picture I want. On other ones you have to size the photo's so it all fits, or else it looks really bad. Not that it looks fantastic or anything now, but it doesn't look like it's coming out of the box-thing really. On an entirely different note, I want to see "Rear Window"

I've read about it and it sounds really good. Even though it stars the same guy who was in "Harvey". Gawd, that was a weird movie...

Eh?

Right-o, I was on Youtube, looking at Lily Allen videos (I can't wait for the concert~~) and I found this:

Yeah, Lily doing a cover of "Womanizer" by Britney Spears. It is kinda strange to me that she did a cover of this song, but I like it better then the original for obvious reasons, namely, it's Lily Allen and she rocks, not Britney. But, I also like how it isn't screechy and whiny, and the music is way less irritating. Still though, it's not really the type of song I would picture her doing. Ah well.
